About:

Strange Woman is a 20-year-old, queer hard rock artist with a contemporary punk attitude and electrifying energy. Born in Edinburgh and living in Manchester, she grew up as an outsider who eventually found community, support and self-confidence in alternative music fanbases.

From Yungblud and Maneskin to Lady Gaga, Strange takes inspiration from underground rock communities, drag, and those that express gender in unique and unconventional ways.

It is her aim to create an inclusive environment within the world of Strange Woman that is a safe space for young, LGBT and alternative people to both find community and enjoy a sense of chaotic escapism.

Strange Woman showcases sexy, snarling, gritty riffs as well as a signature rock scream that adds to the rawness of performances. Lyrics centre around love, gender expression, queerness, and navigating youth culture in a socially volatile climate.

Paired with alternative fashion, grunge makeup and an exhilarating stage presence, she creates a chaotic yet welcoming environment to all.

Behind the persona is Finlay Kenney, who currently studies Popular Music at the Royal Northern College of Music. Her debut single 'FAKE VALENTINE', the first release from the upcoming 'STRANGE' EP, is out now. 'THE LAST DANCE' makes its ferocious entrance on August 13th.
